Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

1. Who we are

This website (marcx.com.au, the “Site”) is operated by Marcx Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 29 700 489 596) (“Marcx Digital”, “we”, “us” or “our”), based in Queensland, Australia.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we have adopted the practices set out in this policy even where the Act may not strictly apply to our business.

2. What information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, or that is generated automatically when you browse the Site.

Information you provide directly. When you contact us through the Site’s contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message. When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address and any other details you enter in the subscribe form. When you book a consultation through our booking link, we collect the details you enter into the booking form (such as your name, email address and the appointment time).

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the Site. This includes analytics data such as your approximate location (city/region), device and browser type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the Site and how long you stay. This data is aggregated and does not ordinarily identify you personally. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and operational purposes.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information) through the Site, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to your enquiries, provide our services, send you our newsletter and other marketing communications you have opted in to receive, schedule and manage consultations, understand how the Site is used so we can improve it, and comply with our legal obligations.

We will only send you marketing emails where you have subscribed or otherwise consented, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with (third-party services)

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the Site and our business, including:

  • GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.) — powers our subscribe/contact forms and stores our mailing list. Data is hosted in the United States.
  • Google — we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for site analytics, and Google Calendar for consultation bookings. Google may process data in the United States and elsewhere.
  • Netlify, Inc. — hosts the Site, based in the United States.
  • Advertising and social platforms — the Site may use tracking tags from platforms such as LinkedIn and Meta to measure the performance of our marketing.

We may change or add providers from time to time (for example, we may move our mailing list to another customer-relationship platform such as HubSpot or Salesforce). Any replacement provider will be subject to equivalent privacy protections, and we will update this policy accordingly.

Because several of these providers are located overseas (principally in the United States), by using the Site and submitting your information you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to, and stored in, countries outside Australia.

We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law.

5. Cookies and how to manage them

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them for analytics and marketing measurement as described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the Site.

6. How we store and protect your information

Personal information is stored in the systems of the providers listed above, each of which maintains its own security safeguards, and in our own business records. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and to destroy or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Access, correction and unsubscribing

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing us at the address below. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. We will respond to requests within a reasonable period.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below and we will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its “last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
